Norprint & DNP Working together
Norprint have supplied ribbons for over 15 years, working with DNP (Dai Nippon Printing) who were one of the first companies to pioneer thermal transfer printing technology. DNP’s Information Media Supply (IMS) division has since grown to be the world’s largest manufacturer of thermal transfer ribbons for barcode, facsimile and dye sublimation printers. The DNP Corporation has an annual turnover in excess of $12 Billion. In Mid 2008, DNP completed the acquisition of the Sony Chemicals TTR division adding more product formulations and production capacity throughout Europe, Japan and the USA. The relationship between Norprint and DNP enables competitive and quick delivery of some of the best ribbons in the market.
New Stock Sizes, Packaging & Box Quantities
TR4085+ will now be supplied with the following changes to the packaging and individual ribbon appearance. Ribbons will now be supplied with a clear leader material instead of blue. The product information and batch numbers will be carried on the box end label. Individual ribbons will no longer be shrink wrapped saving 10% packaging waste. Ribbons will now be packed into new one piece boxes without additional inserts saving 2% packaging waste. These ribbons will now be available in a wider range of stock sizes and in new box quantities. The above changes have been introduced as part of our ‘sustainable development’ program where we are looking to reduce packaging waste and our impact on the environment. The above changes have been made to help save costs throughout the whole manufacturing and distribution process.
